So while the words are still fresh, I ll write this review There is something that always intrigues me about how fantasy and real life blend in to form one coherent story without taking too much of a turn into one or the other Not many people can do it, especially not long as this book is But never does it turn into too much of one or too much of another The prose, it s addictive, it s unique and with a twist of real life been there oh fuck I know this feel emotion in it The characters are So while the words are still fresh, I ll write this review There is something that always intrigues me about how fantasy and real life blend in to form one coherent story without taking too much of a turn into one or the other Not many people can do it, especially not long as this book is But never does it turn into too much of one or too much of another The prose, it s addictive, it s unique and with a twist of real life been there oh fuck I know this feel emotion in it The characters are slight cardboard cutouts but what is done with them throughout the books is anything but, they are expanded on they are given life, fantastical creations as well as their own thoughts The one thing that really got me was the drugs, it s a road I ve experienced and seen one too many times, and to me it was done right most writers tack it on as an afterthought to make their characterhard or some shit, here it s actually part of the characters and the environment I know there s a lot of underlying messages but I honestly think a lot of that went over my head, perhaps a second read through will fix that Either way I know this isn t much a reviewof a ramble, but it s a wonderful book unique in its presentation with an imaginative as well as realistic tale to tell read it, like it, read it again and search for those underlying messages that s what I plan to do at least

5 stars for Lily s stunning use of words This was unlike anything I ve ever read Dark and poetic, with a fantasy aspect you will soon find is not what it seems. It was not an easy read Eden is not a very likeable character Her struggles with drug addiction and the fact that she is very selfish do not help her cause Watching her fall and succumb to her demons is heartbreaking This book will incite many emotions in its reader A very haunting and enthralling experience.

Artists aren t like the rest of us They don t live by a set schedule They don t adhere to anything that would be called normal of mainstream They seek inspiration in the spaces outside the realms of reality Sometimes they hit their mark, but many other times they fall into the extremes of that lifestyle and find themselves mired in their own highly self destructive behaviors that too many times result in their early demise.Eden Fell walks into the drug laced corridors of an artists mind It Artists aren t like the rest of us They don t live by a set schedule They don t adhere to anything that would be called normal of mainstream They seek inspiration in the spaces outside the realms of reality Sometimes they hit their mark, but many other times they fall into the extremes of that lifestyle and find themselves mired in their own highly self destructive behaviors that too many times result in their early demise.Eden Fell walks into the drug laced corridors of an artists mind It is sometimes lyrical in it s interpretation of that mind and sometimes it s brutal It walks through reality and fantasy and a lot of the time you re really not sure which is which This book doesn t go by the rules of form and function, but instead puts you through the wild, trippy, and sometimes psychotic mind of the artist who doesn t see things in a sequential order, so what your left with is a bouncing stream of thoughts that come at you in the full force of their random interpretations of everything that the author is seeing. This is not an easy book to read You need to step outside your own comfort zones to accept the free form style and then you have to harden yourself to the destructive, melancholic, and often times very dreary thoughts of the artist that paint bleak pictures of a meaningless existence But in the end it s very eye opening experience worth taking to get that glimpse inside the artists unconventional mind

Different, very, very different Not an easy book to read, at times I put it away, but I kept coming back forIt s a look into the dark, twisted mind of Eden, an abstract painter We follow the thoughts and hallucinations of a drug addict traveling down a painful path At times I was lost with all the random thoughts, but the prose is excellent and compelling.I found that the pages numbers kept interrupting the paragraphs at random points Perhaps its just a formatting problem.
