Love this book Signed up for a class with Mandy through French General and after looking at her instagram I knew I wanted the book Thought it would mainly be inspiring 'eye candy' to the stitcher in me; but was pleasantly surprised that the projects featured were actually projects that are do able at home as well without lengthy complicated instruction using repurposed fabrics and treasured pieces most of us have a little stash of So beautiful made me want to stitch flowers on anything not standing still Well done Mandy

I love Mandy's work I have an extensive textile book library but her books are the only ones that I read from cover to cover The photographs are great If you are remotely interested in fabric collage Mandy's books should be the first to purchase I think Batsford textile related are some of the best out there

I have really enjoyed this beautifully illustrated book since it is full of ideas for recycling fabric Pattullo demonstrates her real love of textiles and therefore a kindred spirit I felt braver to cut into precious pieces as she highlights this anxiety and how to overcome it Therefore I'd say this is not just another book on sewing but one that goes further There is definitely a fine art application here and yet is accessible Anyone will be inspired and feel confident to reuse dearly loved clothes in fascinating ways which have a uniue aesthetic
